Please read the following information about standard warranty policies.
Warranty
-
In most situations, warranty issues are handled directly by the manufacturer, according to their specific terms. This information can usually be found on the manufacturer's website, or by contacting them directly.
As a retailer, we can’t guarantee manufacturer replacement of items thought to be defective or becoming damaged during normal use. In addition to proof of purchase, some manufacturers may also require documentation of professional assembly or installation.
Retrogression is not responsible for any shipping charges if the manufacturer requires sending a defective item to be replaced under warranty back to them, or a replacement item sent to you. If a manufacturer requests you to send the product in question back to us for inspection, those shipping charges are also your responsibility.
This is often overlooked, but must be taken into consideration that many components we sell are designed for velodrome racing and that is the specific intended purpose for said components, regardless of how often they are used by riders on the street or other terrain. If a failure occurs because the manufacturer concludes their product was used incorrectly or irresponsibly, it's unlikely that replacement will be offered. -
All Retrogression-branded components are warrantied against defects in material and manufacturing for a period of one year from the date of purchase.
During the warranty period, we will replace products proven to be defective, after being sent back to us for inspection. Retrogression cannot be held responsible for any damage that may occur due to misuse, improper installation, tampering, modification or lack of maintenance. -
All wheel building components (ie: rims, hubs, spokes and spoke nipples) are thoroughly inspected before being assembled, trued and tensioned.
While we can ensure your wheels will be built with care and stand by our workmanship, we can't be responsible for what happens to a particular wheel or wheelset once it's on your bike, simply because there are too many variables regarding use, misuse, terrain, rider weight, riding style, and frequency of routine maintenance or service (or lack thereof).
This being said, if the quality of your wheels is compromised because of a potentially faulty rim or hub, please contact us and we’ll assist in reaching out to the manufacturer about possible warranty replacement of the component in question.
